Muscle from the hip as seen from the back

The gluteus maximus has almost entirely been removed to leave only its femoral attachments; the gluteus medius is detached from the ilium and turned downwards. Deeper muscles have been left in place, instead. One can therefore note the gluteus minimus, the piriformis, the gemellus superior, the obturator internus, the gemellus inferior and the quadratus femoris whose ischial attachment is partly hidden by the common tendon of the semitendinosus and long head of the biceps femoris that are resected below. Between the ischial spine and the outline of sacrum and coccyx we observe the coccygeus muscle. Along the ischiopubic ramus we see the ischiocavernosus muscle.
